Week Long Update

Haven't blogged in the past week as my Auntie Lina was in town. She got here on Tuesday last week and just left for Hong Kong on Sunday. Was a good time as its been almost 2 years since I last saw her and my cousins. This trip was particularly fruitful as I got to know my cousins a bit better and spent more time with them. Sean, Brian and Kevin have matured into interesting young men and baby Carolynn is almost a young lady now.

Reflecting back, I think I've been fortunate enough to have a family who love each other dearly, even though we live so far apart. Its been a fairly wild ride for all of us in the past 10 years and we've all developed into interesting individuals. 9 cousins in all, from 3 siblings by my grandmother and each of us have differing backgrounds in life, yet when put together, we are still able to chat and have fun together.

Its been a mad week honestly. Our office got broken into on Thursday night. Was rather unlucky for me as the burglers took 2 laptops that were meant for my event the next day. That meant a midnight rush to Mustaffa to buy replacement laptops since it was a HP event and we needed to get HP laptops for the replacement. On top of that, we had to wait for the police to do a CSI on our office, which meant they got finger printing powder all over the place on top of the rummaged-thru-mess that the burglers left behind. Cleaning up the next day was NOT fun... Poor Elvin lost his new Canon G7 as well. That was NOT good for him.

Anyhow, we're shifting offices next month, so hopefully we'll get a place with much better security. We were also fortunate that we didn't walk in on the burglers when they were in the process of stealing stuff. Would not have been pretty if that had happened. Our upstairs neighbours also got a laptop stolen and that was kinda unfortunate cos all their company stuff was on there including their accounts and stuff like that... Not good... And our landlord is being an ass about adding extra security for us.

Anyone has a good lobang for a nice office in CBD area? We're looking!
