Motivation... Or rather, the lack of it...
Original Xanga entry ↗When push comes to shove, how do you react to the crunch time? Lying in bed, trying to fall asleep, I suddenly realised 2 things about myself.
1) my lack of motivation stems from my inabilty to excite myself. I rely very much on external factors to push me to get things done. Friends, family, sometimes even a little competition. Without all that, I basically could care less.
2) my mellowness... While its good that my somewhat hot temper has mellowed over the years, I've also adopted a rather 'Could-care-less' attitude. While I've not seriously examined it, I know that I take things very lightly now. Somehow, I can't seem to see the seriousness in alot of issues because I absolutely don't care enough about it. I procrastinate and put things off because I have created a mentality within myself that everything can be resolved, so there's no need to get excited about it.
What has changed? I think its my entire outlook on life. I need to really figure out what will make me care again. Or has life really become so 'blah' that there's no point in getting involved in it anymore? I honestly don't know
