THE ONE WITH A DIGICAM, 2 MOBILE PHONES AND A DISHONEST YOUNG MAN

Something unfortunate happened last Sunday night. Just typing about it now makes me feel upset. However, I've seemed to come to terms with it.

Ray and I were meant to celebrate our anniversary last Friday. However, because I had been so busy at work, we did not get around to celebrating it until Sunday night. It was a nice and idle Sunday and we had decided to go have some Jap food for dinner. After much research on the net for a nice restaurant, we finally settled for the one at Liang Court basement, near the supermarket. After dressing up nicely and packing my 2 mobile phones and my digicam into my mini handbag, we went for dinner.

Dinner went smoothly, and we ate alot of good Jap food which we thoroughly enjoyed. After dinner, we went to the supermarket and bought some Jap groceries as I wanted to cook some udon miso noodles for dinner sometime. We walked around Clarke Quay after that and had some peaceful couple time. Just Ray and me.

Disaster struck on the way home. We had hailed a cab and took it home. I was happily drinking my Orange McFizz from Mcs and exited the cab, while Ray payed for the ride and grabbed the 2 bags of groceries. It was only when we were at the door did we realise that my handbag was still in the cab. Immediately we called my mobile phone, thinking that the cab driver would pick up and turn around to return the bag. Unknowingly to us, someone else had hailed the cab and this young man actually found my bag. Instead of informing the cab driver that my phone was ringing, he took my bag, told the cab driver he decided to change destinations and got off about 5 minutes into the ride. By the time we managed to get the cab company to contact the cab driver, the young man was long gone with my entire bag.

It was an unfortunately end to an otherwise very nice day. We ended up going to the place where the guy got off to search for him and even went down to the KTV pub and coffeeshop which was meant to be the young man's original destination. However, we could not track him. In addition to my 2 mobile phones and digicam, I lost my entire wallet, that contained my i/c, driver's license, all my bank cards, and my darling black Guess bag. Fortunately, 2 days later, the young man returned my wallet with my i/c and drivers license still intact. However, I still lost a fortune because he took my 2 phones and my BRAND NEW PINK DIGICAM *SOBSOBSOB!!!*

Many thanks to Ben who drove me and Ray around hunting for the guy and to Laudene who has graciously offered me her spare mobile phone while I save up to buy a new one. AND IF THE DISHONEST YOUNG MAN IS READING THIS, RETURN ME MY PHONES!!! I HAVE PRECIOUS DATA IN THERE THAT CAN'T BE RETRIEVED!!!!

>_< Why always so bad luck?!?!

Looking back on all your posts, almost every other post involves something bad happening in your life. Car got stolen, house broken in, all the medical crap ... aiyoh. Maybe you should see a Priest or something, kinda like Bad Luck Ghost following you. Anyhow, pray for you, things always get better in the end.
