THE ONE ABOUT WEEKENDS

Generally, I like weekends... I mean who doesn't? It's the time of the week where there is no need to get up early, no need to worry about work, no need to leave the house if u dun want to, not even a need to get out of bed if u don't wish to...

Last week was a good weekend. Ray came straight over when he got out of camp. We lazed around at home, before going out for dinner with Irene, Jeremy and Em. We headed over to the Boom Boom Room after being picked up by Em's new friend Chee Kiong (ZHI QIANG!) where we proceeded to have a blast. We were seated right at the front of the stage, where Jeremy was promptly molested by several of the performers. Having caught the show last month, I was pleasantly surprised that the show this time round was different. Kumar was almost at his best, shooting off insults and comments on just about everything under the sun. Seeing the males dressed in stockings and camisole/corsets close up was such an experience. Hard to imagine that these people can actually do this every week. How are they able to contain themselves? (no pun intended!)

You would think that the show ending at 1 am would be incentive enough for us to head home. But no... we proceeded for supper while Ray went to meet his friend at New Asia Bar for a drink. Jolie is just about the only link Ray has to his past and I think it was a good thing that he went to catch up with her before she returned to Perth for good. After supper, Em and Chee Kiong proceeded home while I went over to Irene's and we played mahjong... UNTIL 12 noon the next day! It has become a real habit, playin overnighter mahjong at Irene's place. Now that Irene just announced she quit her job today, I forsee even more overnighters for the next mth!

Anyhow, the fact that last weekend wrapped up so nicely, with Ray and myself enjoying some quiet time and some social time made me wish we could do that more. We even had time to put into some games of SG and also go shopping and looking at fishies... It was such a fresh change frm the "stay-at-home-and-do-nothing" lifestyle we had been leading.

Tonight I'll be going shopping with Ray's mom and his sister to get stuff for his birthday party tomorrow. I am still trying to decide what else to cook. Hopefully this party will be a success and we can have a good time. God knows I am looking forward to it. Have not had a real party for ages. I think just seriously need some fun in my life, or I might just waste away...

Keeping myself happy may keep the bad things at bad. Bad thoughts, GO AWAY!
