I'm confused. When a guy tells you, that he ever since he has known you, the perfect woman in his mind, is slowly becoming a reality, would you take it as "just a line" ? I don't know exactly what is prompting this, but it is just so frustrating not to be able to put across the point that I want to put across. He knows that I am not ready for a relationship, but to him, he said he just wants to have that focal point in his life, that friendship that he can depend on. And making me happy has been part of that focus. I know that I should be happy, that someone thinks so much of me, to want to make me happy. Yet in some sense, I am terrified of it.

There are days that I think, my life would be much easier if I could dig a hole and bury myself, where no one can find me, and where I can just snuggle up to myself, and be contented. But there is no such thing as a LONER world eh?

Thought that this might be time for another quote, one which goes like this :-

Love is like......you know, love is just like waiting for a bus. When the first bus came, you looked at it and you said to yourself "Eeek...it's so crowded...there's no place for me to sit down". So you said to yourself, "I'll wait for the next one".

So you let the bus go and waited for the second bus. Then the second bus came, you looked at it and said, "Eekk...this bus is so old...it would probably be very
uncomfortable ". So you let the bus go and again, decide to wait for the next bus.

After a while another bus came, it was not crowded, not old but you said,"Eeekk...no air-conditioning...and the weather is so warm, I had better wait for the next one". So again you let the bus go and decided to wait for the next bus.

Then the sky started to get dark as it is got later. You panicked and jump on to the next bus which arrived. It is not until much later that you found out that you had boarded on to the wrong bus!!! So you wasted your time and money waiting for the bus you didn't want! Even if an air-con bus came, it did not gurantee that it wouldn't breakdown or that the
the air-conditioning be too cold for you?

I am sure you have this experience before. You see a bus coming (the bus you want of course), you flagged it but the driver pretended not to see you and zoomed pass you! When the bus zoomed pass, all you could do was WALK!!! Waiting to get what you want is not wrong. But it wouldn't hurt just to give other people a chance right?

If you find that the "bus" doesn't suit you, just press the red button and get off the bus! The bottom line is being loved is like riding on a bus that you are waiting for. The decision on whether to ride on a bus or to walk totally depends on you. And walking is totally being out of love! You never lose by loving. You always lose by holding back.

Is this what love is? Sometimes it feels that way... I just wish I knew which bus was the right one...

There is no sincerity of thought. We are sincere first, and then we develop this habit called 'thinking'. And once we are thinking everything is insincere (even if we move our vocabulary up and say 'sincere thinking'. Even a rapist can shift his vocabulary and say "Damn it! This is because I love you!").

The only question is, do you also want something you are prepared to be insincere for? If not, then the fellows' efforts are just trivial to you.

In normal development everyone arrives at an age when he is 'waiting for the bus', 'standing at the bus-stop', instead of doing the things a child would be doing with the time.

What if I just got off a bus, cos I found it was going in the wrong direction? and I'm standing at the bus stop now, where there are 2 buses. One which looks terribly appealing, big, comfortable coach, which already has a passanger and has to accomadate that passenger first. Another, a smaller bus, also comfortable, and the driver is willing to send me to where ever I want first, but the bus just doesn't seem right. What can I do then?

If life has become a question of seeking advice it is actually too late for seriousness. Seek intelligence, and then do not ask it to decide; ask it to show you where intelligence comes from; what intelligence is. Intelligence is not some sort of machine one asks directions of. That would not be life; that intelligence would never enjoy you as an individual, and above all intelligence is the ability to enjoy the time, and make it enjoyable for toehrs as a way to enjoy it.

I do not advise people. I present them with a difficult problem that has come a long way towards peace in mine and my friend's care, and I ask them to come with us in moving it even nearer to peace. I enjoy people who can be serious; and the people who can not be serious are the ones we have to be serious about.

It is a difficult division to make, because who knows what invisible-to-me capacity for seriousness someone may have. But as a general rule it is always better to get better company; worse company will find a way to intrude, so there is no need to get any.
