Touch Down!
Original Xanga entry ↗So the mad rush this morning was followed by a hurriedly swallowed snack right outside the departure gate before dashing to board the plane. Thank goodness for Edna who woke me up with her MSN msg and got a cab to bring me to the airport.
The trip has been ok so far. The weather in Taipei is fairly cool. 16 degrees Celsius. Reminds me of Perth weather. I'm glad I brought my black padded jacket and kinda wished I had brought some other warm jackets, but I was trying to pack light, so I only brought my denim jacket and wind breaker.
I am sitting at the Taipei airport right now using their reasonably priced WIFI on my laptop while waiting for my dad to arrive. His flight got delayed and so he will only get here at 9:20 pm instead of 8:20 pm. I'm so glad I decided to bring my laptop, or I'm sure to be bored to death with all the waiting that I have to do on this trip. I had considered waiting for him for dinner, but since he will only arrive so late, I went and got myself a bowl of beef noodles. Oh so oily and oh so expensive! I hope the food in Taipei city issn't similarly priced...
I will attempt to photoblog about this trip as much as I can and I do hope there is WIFI in the hotels we are staying at.
The almost empty flight I took. Was so empty, I managed to have a whole row to myself so I could stretch out and sleep

All bundled up in my black jacket. Glad I had it, or I would have been freezing on the plane.

Two gay boys I met on the plane... They refused to be photographed... cos shy lah...

Are those 2 guys or 2 girls who are becoming friends?

My trusty red luggage coming to me on the airport belt. It's gone with me to Hong Kong, USA, Manila, Jakarta and now Taiwan!

Tourism counter at Terminal 1 where I asked for directions to Terminal 2. The girl at the counter heaved a sigh of relief when she realised I could speak mandarin as well as english...

Directions at Terminal 1 that were seriously misleading as I simply couldn't find the damn train

Nice Evian display I saw at a cafe in Terminal 1

Fancy colour-changing signboard that reminds of the one on the Sentosa bridge in Singapore.

First meal in Taiwan, beef noodles provided by Taiwan Xiao Chi! I forgot to take a picture of the noodles until I was almost done... Hahaha I was that hungry!
