Crazy Days and Mad Nights

Watched Lust, Caution with Jolene, Yan, Antoinette and Vanessa yesterday afternoon. I felt the acting was excellent. Tony Leung delivered a stellar performance as usual, while Tang Wei was absolutely fantastic in her role as the tormented patriot who falls in love with the man she is supposed to betray. That's about the only good things I could say about the movie. The highly rated sex scenes were fairly powerful, but too drawn out. The entire pace of the movie was too slow. But I did come out from the movie feeling reflective. Love is such a powerful thing, but when it becomes an obsession, it can be very toxic.

Sayoni Christmas dinner after the movie. We were late cos the movie ended close to 7 pm. But dinner was fun. Although the table seating wasn't the most conducive, we all played a bit of musical chairs and managed to make everyone talk to almost everyone. I had lots of fun teasing all the various couples there and of course, just general horsing around. Inez was so cute and baked a bunch of cookies for everyone. Thanks sweetie!

And yes, the X'mas gift exchange! Antoinette got my gift and I got a gift from the Antoinette-Vanessa duo. So presenting my Sayoni X'mas Dinner gift!

We adjourned to Timbre after dinner and wooooooooo, so much fun! Bumped into Sharon who was celebrating her birthday there... *HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR!* We went a bit crazy and ordered shooters by the dozen. Made everyone play Five-Ten with us and it was soooo hilarious. I managed to catch the Yan and Wei Wei duo twice in the end and they both looked at me incredulously. Amazingly enough, after a Vodka ribena, two lychee martinis and at least 8 shooters, I was still very sober. Could walk, walk backwards and DANCE in a straight line still. I swear it was the Coronas on Thursday that got me puking. No more beer for me!

Made prata for myself and Irene when I got home. We were both kinda hungry after the drinking and had a good time chatting over prata and curry. This was further proof that I was not drunk. I could cook! Muahahahah! Poor Irene, she was soooo exhuasted after windsurfing, dinner, drinks and supper she looked like she was going to pass out at my dining table. Amazingly enough though, she still managed to get online to chat for a while after she got home!

It has been a crazy few days and I can imagine the coming 2 weeks will be filled with even more parties, drinking, dancing and fun... Looking forward to ending this year with a big bang and starting afresh next year!
