Today, our STK welcomed a new LIM into his family. Congratulations Boss! We know junior has been a long awaited addition and wish you and Celia all the best with your little bundle of joy!

On another note, I had been looking for this book "We need to talk about Kevin" by Lionel Shriver for a while because Michelle had recommended it to me, explaining that it was one of the best books she had read for a while. I finally found it 2 weekends ago at Kinokuniya and it took me this long to finish reading it because I've been so busy of late. This has got to be one of the most intense and powerful books about a mother and her love for her child. It also set me thinking about my own biological clock. As much as I used to think I wanna get married, have kids and do the whole motherly thing, I'm not entirely sure now.

I'm not exactly qualified to be a mother at this point. For someone who cannot even handle her own emotions or plan for her own future, how could I possibly bring a child into this world and be her guardian? I can't even guide my own assistant and working with me for only 2 months has caused her to have a breakdown.

People say I have the motherly instinct. I'm always looking out for the people around me, and I have that default inbuilt nature to "nag". Yet I know that within myself, I have a short fuse, I'm a terrible worrier and most importantly, I can be crazily irrational at times. Few people can drive me crazy, but the few people who can are the ones I care so deeply about that I would sacrifice myself for them. As madly afraid of death I am, I would willingly die for these people. If it meant that my death could bring them happiness, it would be a worthwhile sacrifice.

Anyhow, that's all just talk. Somewhere along the line, if the situation really presents itself, I don't know if I would truly have the courage. But as people always say, when you have your own child, there is nothing greater in the world then a mother's love and I hope to be capable of that love some day.

For now, I'll be content with whatever love I have. To some people, I'm still that kiddo.

hey babe, don't get yourself feeling introspective and all..sometimes you gotta be in the situation before you find the ideas and probably the nerve to do what has to be done. bet it will be the same when you eventually decide it's time for kids. take lotsa care!
