Grandma had a stroke + Laptop charger died + Email posting doesn't work :(

So this sucks.

My laptop charger died over the weekend. Laptop has only 50% left on battery... MUST CONSERVE UNTIL I FIND A REPLACEMENT... Walked all over Sim Lim yesterday and they all don't have it... Only choice I have now is to order a replacement from Gateway... *sigh*

So I paid USD$25/year to Xanga in order to get email posting to work. Tried email blogging over the weekend cos my laptop was down... DID NOT WORK *SWEARS AT XANGA* Now I'm gonna have to fiddle with it til it does or its just gonna continue pissing me the heeeeeelllll offffffff.

Got a scary SMS yesterday afternoon from my uncle at 14:49 - "Grandma had a serious stroke. She in the hospital now. Will update after the specialist has examined her." The most basic and elemental part of me just wanted to fly over immediately. Fortunately, I was rational enough to call, find out more details and plan to go over sometime this week instead. The disadvantages of having a family that insists on being part of the global community becomes apparent now. Instead of just flagging a cab and rushing to the hospital, now I have to book an air ticket to be able to go over.... *sigh*

So yeah, no good news over the weekend, but bad things are meant to come in 3s, so I hope thats the end of it.
