Original Xanga entry ↗THE ONE WITH SCRAMBLED SALMON, ENGLISH BREAKFAST AND FREE WIRELESS INTERNET
I'm sitting at Coffee Bean, sipping English Breakfast Tea, after my "salmon-over-scrambled-eggs" breakfast. The plus point about this is that even though its like 9 am and I've been up since 6 am and been here since 7 am, I have my lovely laptop and can make use of the free wireless internet. The wonders of technology. How I love it!
Last week was hell once again. Wednesday night, work until 11 pm getting work done and completed. Get on a cab, head home, receive a call from bro saying he issn't doing good and needs to see a doctor. Pick bro up, bring him to the hospital, and proceed to wait 5 hours at the A&E. 4:30 am before we even see the doctor and he gets a jab and ends up staying there for another 2 hours for "observation" That's not all. 6:30 am, while we are headed for home, I give Ray a call and find out he got re-admitted cos he was vomiting again. OUCH. With 24 sleepless hours under my belt, I head to the hospital that Ray is at and proceed to worry about him for the next 6 hours before heading to the office. Have a wonderfully hectic day at work and end up back at the hospital at 7 pm. At that point, I've gone 34 hours without sleep and I'm running on "LOW BATT" signal. Find out from Ray's docs that there is some complication frm his surgery and that although his wound is healing well, the stuff inside issn't. He needs to be kept under observation and thus we wait yet again. By the time I finally get home and sleep that nite, I had gone 38 hours without sleep. Thankfully I'm so exhuasted that I just collapse into bed and slept like a baby throughout.
Fast forward to today. Work is getting busier and busier. Instead of 8 hour days, I am working 12 hour days now. Putting in the extra time to get all the necessary work done. It's hard and I'm sure it will get harder. The light at the end of the tunnel is the promise of a raise this month. I've managed to wrangle that from my boss and for that I am grateful.
Sitting here, where my roadshow is just a short walk away, I am grateful for this chance to relax before the craziness of the day starts again. It is going to be a long day again. And I am totally aware that by the time its the end of the day, I will be thoroughly exhuasted once more. I feel bad when I neglect my family and friends recently due to my lack of time. Grandma called me on Sun and asked how come I hadn't called her in so long. Simply put, I hadn't been able to sit down and call her cos I've been so incredibly busy
Really hope this year goes past soon and we'll be able to see something easier and better quickly. If not, I can't imagine how long I can struggle to balance everything in my life. So many things to take care of... So little time!

its times like these where we learn about our limits.. we cosntantly feel like we are at them.. or near them.. yet somehow we persevere..
Could this be so that later on we will learn to appreciate the good things in life.. and live a happier fuller life?
Or is this to prepare us for an upcoming event..
I like to believe god is saving up all his good luck for something REALLY REALLY REALLY EXTREMELY FUCKING GOOD..
only question is.. will we recognize it?
