Original Xanga entry ↗THE ONE WITH THE HOSPITAL STAY
For those who were not in the loop, Ray got hospitalised last Sunday night. It was around 8 pm when he started feeling pain in his tummy and at ard 12 midnight, it escalated to the point where he was alternating between throwing up, purging his insides out and rolling ard in pain. I ended up bringing him to the hospital A & E where after 11 plastic bags, 1 box of tissues and countless of trips to the toilet, we managed to see a doctor. Initially, the doctor wanted to give him some medication, send him home and get us to go back if he didn't get better. But how the hell do you get someone who is puking and shitting every few mins to take medication? They ended up putting him on the drip and admitting him into a ward for observation. Thank goodness that after painkillers, some 5 packets of IV drips and about 7 hospital visits frm me, he is well and was discharged. Now he just has to watch what he eats over the next few weeks. Apparantly he had contracted a viral infection. This explained why even tummy medication they administered couldn't fix him.
That said, I had to take leave to be with him most of the days last week. And now there is a mountain of work left to do! Oh and I've got a hiptop for personal use until the end of the year! Yay!

Ewww ... poor thing. Hope he has a speedy painless recovery back to full health.

Do not meddle in the affairs of stomach viruses, for they are subtle and quick to anger. Or something. I guess it has something to do with armadilloes at some point. But then, I suspect that almost everything we do is controlled by a conspiracy of super-genius armadilloes. So, you know, take a grain of salt with that. Hell, take the whole shaker.

That sounds horrible. I'm sorry to hear that he's not feeling well. Hope he's better.
