Original Xanga entry ↗I've never been one of those who work well on Mac. Ever since I started work almost 2 weeks ago, I have been getting used to working with the cute iMac that has been provided for me.
The frustrating thing is that I can't get MSN to work. Even ICQ is a bit dodgy, so I'm relying on netscape's internal ICQ now. The good news is I'm alone alot in my office and even when I'm not alone, I have tons of time to do my own thing. I spend alot of time surfing the net and very often, before I know it, it's time to go home.
I haven't really posted anything much since I got home, because prior to this, I hadn't had the time to use the computer much. Now 6 days after I started work, I've exhausted the possibilities of surfing and installing various programs on my mac. So finally, I have time to sit down and record some thoughts.
I was surprised this weekend when Ray asked me why I hadn't been updating my website. I didn't even realise he actually read my Xanga anymore. I guess I've been trying to get into a routine of things. Wanting to move forward in a good direction, focusing on things that need to be done and wanting to prove to myself that working life is not the end of the world. Thankfully, I'm not a total Mac idiot, having used Mac in various units in Uni. I can use MAc quite competantly now, although I've done some booboos like print out pages of columns with nothing in them.
My collegues are nice people. I will update about them when I get a chance soon. Right now I just want to curl up and take a nap. No one is in the office right now other then me. Wonder if I should take the chance? *grin*
Listening to class 95 on the radio in the office has gotten me reaquainted with music. It's been a long time since I've had the luxury of listening to music. Thinking back on my schooling days when I was quite the music buff, I wonder what have I been doing with myself. Lost touch with so much, and I want so much to bring it all back.
Money makes this world move so much. Can I make it stop?
