Another Weekend

Original Xanga entry ↗

Quiet weekend again...

Cancelled a KTV session on Friday as there weren't many interested parties. Ended up having Japanese dinner at home. Bunny felt like having jap food, I didn't feel like going out, so we compromised.

Simple Japanese dinner at home.
We planned to watch Ratatouille after dinner, but ended up just lazing in bed.

Woke up to rain & bacon with eggs for breakfast on Saturday. She cooked me breakfast before rushing home to pass her keyboard to a group of Uni students who were doing some performance at Youth Park. Also managed to convince me to go to Funan with her to meet with Kelly & Chris who were checking out laptops. Met them for a short while and went to Plaza Sing after to indulge in some retail therapy at Daiso. $2 are the best places to be when you feel broke.

Got home, cooked pasta for dinner, watched Ratatouille, went to Irene's for mj session, came home, had a shower, crashed slightly after 6 am.

Woke up at 4:30 pm to rain once again. Perfect Sunday for lazing around at home. Had fried rice for lunch, miso soup with udon for dinner. Finally watched V for Vendatta. Great movie. Natalie Portman is drool worthy as always.

I feel like I am becoming anti-social. Seeking comfort in the confines in my own home, my own bed, my personal sanctuary. Don't like to eat out, only want my own cooking. Refusing to leave my own haven, wanting to simply indulge in all that is mine and mine only. Simplistic pleasure in doing the laundry, feeding the hammies, rearranging furniture, finally watching the DVDs I've bought over the months.

Am I falling into yet another depression? Or am I simply giving myself more ME time? I can't tell. All I know is that I seek solace in the peace and quiet once again. The only company I seek is that of those whom I love. And even then, it becomes hard to drag myself out to see the people whom I love. Life seems to have taken on a new dimension again. Wonder if its because I weaned myself off the happy pills before I was meant to. Or is it simply because I want different things in life yet again?

I wonder...

Sounds like you are having some deep internalization processes with yourself.

Seeking for something perhaps?

I think it sounds a lot like domestic bliss.

I don't know if it's depression of a different sort or degree that you're having - but it sure sounds a lot like domestic bliss.

Either that, or you've reached your burn out stage.
