A Day Out With My Godson...

Spent a great day bonding with my Godson Jayden today. Was really great as Em specially took the day off just so I could spend it with her and Jayden. Went over to her place before lunch and helped to give Baby Jayden a bath. He was giggling all throughout and laughing whenever we talked to him. He smiles alot now and can really kick. I was whispering to him and
telling him that, with the strength of his
legs, he can be the next David Beckham!

After his bath, I sat in front of the TV and fed him his milk while his mummy took a shower and changed so we adults could go get lunch. Jayden is soooo going to be one of those babies that we can throw in front of the TV and he will be instantly distracted. I should be stocking up on Barney and High-5 DVDs very soon.

Em and I headed to Compass Point with Baby Jayden in tow for a good lunch at Sakae Sushi. I have to say that the Quinny stroller is some good stuff. Although it is huge and heavy, it's very easy to navigate and does make going over uneven ground much smoother. I can see why parents would pay so much for it. It was quite fortunate that he fell asleep in the stroller during lunch, so we could enjoy some conversational time and do some catching up. After that, we went over to Irene's new place so Em could see it and also show Irene's mom Baby Jayden. We waited for Dylan to get home from work before heading to Hougang Mall for dinner.

Baby Jayden was mostly well behaved throughout the day, allowing us to have a good time with him. He didn't really fuss much, is really beginning to show curiosity and is certainly an active baby. He is comfortable with strangers and allowed everyone to carry him. I believe he will grow up to be a people person, much like his mummy.

Spending an entire day with him made me realise that I want to be more involved in his life. I want to see him more and watch him grow. Babies grow so fast and I know if I keep missing the chance to bond with him, very soon he won't really know who I am. I promised myself that I would be a great Godma and I am definitely planning to see Baby Jayden more often.
