The Weekend Before

So the weekend before my birthday turned out to be Super Duper Uber Fun.

It all started out on Friday night when Badriah, Gerald, Halimah and Manqin went to play Laser Quest. Apparently after some mad-own-team-shootouts, they proceeded to meet Jean and Edna for dinner. During dinner, someone suggested playing mahjong and they all trooped over to my place, arriving at around 11ish. We spent the next 2 hours discussing about Edna's mad adventures involving a clock, some lips and in depth planning for the future. There were laughs aplenty, especially since Halimah had not believed me when I told her that CLS exists! We ended the night with a round of mahjong where Edna was trying to learn how to play. I feel so bad for making her pay $28 in tuition fees. But honestly, that's very little for a first timer. The people whom have played with me in the past know how much tuition fees they have payed! LOL!

Saturday started off with a lazy morning in bed, although there had been plans to proceed for cycling. But it rained, so ended up going to Irene's new place to nua for a while before heading to City Hall for some shopping and dinner. Attempted to organise a drinking session at Timbre and KTV afterwards. Unfortunately, true to our Timbre tradition, everyone had one too many shooters and we couldn't get ourselves to the KTV. Edna ran around trying to kiss Gerald after Gerald dared her to. Gerald was also almost gang-raped by Edna, Irene, Jean and Marz. Manqin and Cheyenne arrived just in time to see the bunch of us sitting around on the floor in compromising positions. They of course took this oppurtunity to take some "blackmail style" pictures. (Manqin, if you are reading this, I demand a copy of the pictures! If I'm gonna get blackmailed, I'ld like to at least see if the pictures are worth it! )

Sunday began with a brunch session at my place with the girls from my OC support group. We had a potluck and proceeded to watch Episode 1 & 2 of "The L Word" Season 5. OMG, they really fucked Shane's hair up this season! It looks like a double mushroom cap! WTF???!! Jenny's gotten even bitchier, Bette and Tina are still totally pining for each other with Jodi hovering in the background, Helena looks hot in a prison jumpsuit and prison sex never looked so damn good, Alice and Tasha are so getting it on and the OLD Shane is finally back. At least that means we'll be seeing more sex in the coming episodes. After watching the 2 episodes, I had to chase the girls outta my house so I could head to City Hall and meet Indu for some serious shoe shopping. Unfortunately, that did not panned out the way I expected it to.

ANNOUNCEMENT: INDU, I WILL GET YOU FOR THIS DURING YOUR 21ST THIS YEAR!

While we were shopping, her phone rang and she made a fuss on it. She then proceeded to tell me that her ex wanted to meet her NOW and she had to go because "I need closure". She also needed me to go along for "emotional support". I wanted to continue shopping, but she insisted. Therefore, she basically conned me into following her to Cafe Le Caire at Arab Street on the pretense of having to meet her ex. I was vehemently protesting cos I mean WTF would want to go to a confrontation like this? But being the good friend that I was, I went along with it and guess who I found there? Irene, Alina, Badriah, Manqin, Cheyenne, Antoinette, Edna, Gerald, Jean, Jolene, Chris and Jessica. Apparently everyone was in on the joke except me.

I'll admit it was a great surprise and was nice to see everyone made and effort to be there. I feel so loved! We spent the rest of the day just chilling, playing some random party games including a very interesting game of Truth or Dare.. Interesting because almost everyone picked TRUTH! Hehe...
