THE ONE WITH TOM & JERRY PLUS NEO...

So now I do think I am a real kitty person... I had been debating abt
getting a dog recently, so he can keep me company when I go for my
morning jogs... But as fate would have it, Liz found a pair of kittens
outside the bank last Tuesday...

Tom was found outside UOB bank at Hong Lim with a little brother Jerry.
Unfortunately, Jerry died the same night I brought him home. He looked
very sick, with cold and wouldn't feed at all. However, Tom managed to
survive and eat, poo, pee normally. I brought him to the vet on Sunday (Mount
Pleasant Animal Clinic at Serangoon - The vet was really nice! )
The vet said that Tom was 600 grams heavy and between 6-8 weeks old.
Mostly likely to be 7 weeks old as he already has all his teeth. Tom
got his first vaccination and also medication for ear mites and
deworming.

So after Jerry died, Tom seemed very lonely. He kept going to the box I had brought them home in and moping around... Having read that 2 kittens are better then 1, I decided to get a friend for him. After I brought Tom to the vet, I contacted Sia
Ping frm Cat Welfare Society
who told me she had 6 kittens around Tom's
age for adoption. I went to see the kittens and they were all so
cute!!!! I finally decided on an orange kitten who is about the same
age as Tom (perhaps 1-2 weeks older and a little bit bigger cos Tom is
kinda naughty and fierce) Neo - the new kitty is the tall and lanky
type with very nice orange fur and a nice long tail. I named him Neo
cos he is kinda like Keanu Reeves in the Matrix. A sort of cool, laid
back character... Tall and thin too

I still need to bring Neo to the vet as he hasn't gotten his shots. He
is currently nursing a cold of some sort and I'm hoping he doesn't pass
it on to Tom. He
had dirty ears too, so I kinda cleaned them out and bathed him as he
was stinky! They've been running around the house and Tom has been
acting like he owns the darn house. They fight a fair bit(I've been
told this is normal kitten's play), but I've finally managed to get
them to cuddle down and sleep together...

Aren't they uber cute together?

Tom reminds me very much of my kitty from JC, Pink whom I had to give
up when I went to Perth... Its nice to have someone to cuddle and they
are absolutely affectionate pets... I think I might seriously be a cat
person
