I have a problem. Now mind you, it's not a very big one, but it's a problem nevertheless. I find myself increasingly unable to tolerate silly people. And it amazes me how many of these silly people are Americans under the age of 20.

So other then Prophecy, I play this game Utopia. Unlike Prophecy, Utopia does not take up much of my time. I normally log in about twice a day, tinker around with my province and perhaps post in the forums a bit. When our kingdom is at war, I log in a bit more, but essentially, it's not something I spend alot of time on. So it just happens we have a 17 year old American in the kingdom. And he is one of the volatile teenagers who erupt with raging hormones into a berserk like frenzy when something is not to his liking. This works when we are at war, cos then he is at his best, beating the crap out of whomever the opponent is. HOWEVER, he also seems to have the notion that he cannot be wrong. So today, I was happily sitting here chatting with a few friends when he comes along and sends me a message telling me that we need to raze down one of our most active attackers. I was like WTF? I told him he was crazy and proceeded to point out why. However, even when I got everyone else whom he said "agreed with him" to tell him he was wrong, he continued to insist he was correct. Even when people were telling him blatantly that they NEVER said that. So, WHY?

What is it in the American system that produces such edjits? I mean I can understand a few here and there... but almost 8 out of 10 americans under 20 I have known have been such idiots. They love to argue, even when they are obviously wrong. And if that issn't enough, they tend to go and give other people their side of the story in hope that their friends could argue them into redemption. And when faced with facts, they continue to ignore it. They either start arguing their case on another point, or just start using stuff to cover up. The thing that strikes me the most strange is how once they get past 20, they suddenly become more reasonable. I'm beginning to think that puberty for them actually stretches out from ages 11 to 20. Instead of the normal 14 to 17.

So anyways, the point is that I used to be able to sit calmly and try to reason it out with people like that. Now however, I've totally given up on that. I allow them to rant. Yes of course I do. I allow them to try to talk me into believing them. I even try to present my side of the story. However, I no longer care if they don't believe me. If they choose to be idiots, I believe in letting them be idiots. Because eventually, they will find themselves to be real idiots and when that happens, they can have a good laugh at themselves. Why feel responsible for things these kids do, say or believe in? I don't care and I am glad I've finally mastered the art of ignoring them

 The only thing I regret about it is that I wasted so much time trying to care and trying to defend myself in the past... but as I said, it's a small problem now, so small that it doesn't warrant much attention.

So I've lost weight... I think I managed to pull off 2-3 kgs in the past 2 weeks. That is quite an achievement seeing as how I'm still a fat pig. However, I shall exercise on and continue on my "healthy living" diet. Hopefully in 2 weeks when I see my darling, I'm slim enough to let him put my arms around me...
