Original Xanga entry ↗Has anyone else read the "Shadow" series by Orson Scott Card? I have to say it is one of the most brilliant books I have read that was written about children.
For the uninformed, the Shadow series is a sequel that was spawned after Ender's Shadow (the twin novel of Ender's Game) became a huge success. I am eternally grateful to Wayne for having introduced me to Ender's Game. It is a wonderful book which made me think that I wasn't such a terrible child after all. I am sure those of you who have read it will agree with me that at some point or another of our childhood, we felt that we were brilliant little geniuses who were smarter then 90% of the population.
Regardless of how dissapointing the rest of the Ender series is, I have to congratulate Mr Card for coming back and completing the wonderful journey of the rest of the children. It has renewed my faith in life and made me keenly aware that with brains and a little bit of determination, we can all get somewhere in this world.
For those who have not read Ender's Game or the resulting Shadow series, I urge you to go read it. You will not regret.
