So as Joe rightly pointed out, I had left out a few people from my inner circle post. So if the people in the previous post are my inner circle, this post is about those who are my comfort clouds. People who drift in and out of my life and yet are always there in my sky. Thru sunshine and rain.
There are 2 groups of people who collectively played a really big part of my life over the past 10 years.
The prophecy group. The people whom I have known for over 10 years now, watching many of them grow from just finishing their O levels to them graduating college and getting married. The people we spend every new year’s eve with, singing auld lang syne from a balcony in Ang Mo Kio. We’re still going to do it this year, even if the home owners are counting down in New York City. I have the keys anyway 😛
This is not forgetting the greater Prophecy clan from around the world, without whom my life would be less rich. The number of hours I spent on that game, a completely text based game, made me so many life long connections. Even now, when I see the black log in screen with the white text, it gives me a brief thrill. A place where I made such strong friendships. So you know who you are, thank you Prophecy.
The other group that I must mention is the Sayoni group. An amazing and dynamic group of women who made life so beautiful for me after the harsh thunderstorm and rain. Even if we don’t spend all that much time together now, know that I am grateful for each and everyone who played a huge part in the recovery process of my life. No words to express how much it means to me to have had your love and support during those times and beyond. Thank you.
And now individually, 2 other people who have made a huge difference in my life. I think of them not so much as clouds, but as pillars.
Daniel and Will, your wives and family. Thank you. I think no other words are needed.
P/S: These photos are all so old!!! We need to meet up with everyone and take new pictures!!
