Today marks the last day I am considered a youth in Singapore (Definition as found at http://www.nyc.pa.gov.sg/index.php/faq) Tomorrow I must wake up and face the world as an ex youth.
I am ready to be considered an adult. In fact, I think I have been ready for the past 10 years.
Youth has been good to me.
Youth gave me the strength to love, the courage to be loved.
Youth gave me the wonders of travel, the comforts of home.
Youth gave me the excitement of business, the support of family and friends.
Youth gave me a wife, a daughter, a self made family.
Youth gave me many chances to fall, fail and get up again.
Tomorrow, I wake up to new challenges, prepared by the wealth of experience Youth has given me.
Each time I hesitate to take a risk, I shall remember those opportunities I missed out on.
Each time I want to jump on a boat, I shall remember the regrets on the voyages where I held on for too long.
The learning, the memories, the beauty of life does not stop with Youth. A new chapter is beginning and today is the beginning of the rest of my life.
